During the consultation period we received over 470 suggestions from 367 contributors.
All feedback and suggestions received were presented to an Elected Member Workshop on Tuesday, 2 December before being provided to Council at its meeting on Tuesday 9 December 2025 for final adoption of a new name for Sfera’s.
At this meeting Council made the decision to rename the venue ‘The Tea Tree Suites and Convention Centre’.
Council staff will commence work on marketing and rebranding for the venue over the coming months with an anticipated launch of the new name and branding in early March 2026.

Help us choose a new name for Sfera's!
In March 2025 the City of Tea Tree Gully acquired Sfera's Park Suites and Convention Centre (Sfera's), located at 191 Reservoir Road, Modbury and adjacent to Civic Park.
Sfera's plays a key role in the City's events, tourism, and economic development landscape. The venue operates as a multi-faceted facility, offering accommodation, venue hire, function rooms and convention space.
As a condition of sale, Council may use the Sfera's name until 31 December 2025. We need to identify a new trading name for the business.
We are seeking community ideas on a new name for Sfera's - tell us your suggestion!
All feedback will be presented to an Elected Member workshop on Tuesday, 2 December 2025 before being provided to Council for consideration prior to final adoption of a new name for Sfera's.
Any selected name will undergo final checks for trademark, domain name and commercial application clearance.
